Firstly from all of the team at SpottingLog we would like to wish you a Happy New Year. Over the past few months we have been working on a range of changes and improvements to SpottingLog, I am pleased to announce that those changes have now been launched and we can let you know what they are.
New Look and Feel
When you next login to SpottingLog you will notice a brand new, fresh looking Login form complete with some aviation wallpaper, our previous login page looked dated and not very inspiring. We have also incorporated our font style into the website.
New Profile Manager
We have completely redesigned and redeveloped the Profile area, not only has this made it easier to update your details we have added some new features that allows you to turn on or off the “Logged” feature showing the number of times an aircraft has been seen when viewing sightings, trips, reports and printing. Please be aware that enabling this feature will slow down your experience of using SpottingLog. To view your new profile manager simply click “Profile” from the main menu.
Email Verification
To ensure that all of our subscribers and users data is secure and can always be accessed we have implemented an email address verification step, when you next login you will see a red alert asking you to verify your email address, just click the button and then within the email you receive click Verify. This is a one time process, if you do not get the email or your email address is incorrect please let us know.
Photos
We have made a few tweaks to improve the look and feel of the photos page. To view this page simply click “Photos” from the main menu.
Add Missing Airport
The add missing airport/airfield form is back, this is now a request form and we will check the data before adding the missing airport. Once added one of the team will let you know when the addition has been completed.
